Author Guidelines



Topic of Interest

Research Journal of Accounting and Management (RJAM) publish evidence-based papers in the areas of: accounting, cost accounting, financial accounting, management accounting, government accounting, auditing, human resource management, strategic management, higher education governance, globalization, managing change, organizational management, national resources management, risk and crisis management, tourism industry management, entrepreneurship management, marketing management, IT industry management, production management, Total Quality Management as well as issues in accounting and management research design and methods. 


Original Research-Based Manuscripts

Research Journal of Accounting and Management (RJAM) accommodates only scholarly research-based manuscripts which are original or not appearing in other publications. The articles must not be submitted for other publication elsewhere while being considered to be published at the RJAM. The articles are subjected to peer-review processes with a blind reviewing system.   


General Guidelines

Please provide an article academic English and formal Bahasa Indonesia. Use MS Word format, in normal size with 2.54 cm margin at each side of A4 paper.



Please use capital letters in each word of title. When there is a sub-title, use only capital letter at the first word of the sub-title. Avoiding punctuation marks such as ( , ), (“ “ ), ( ? ), ( ! ), etc as well as underlined words. The font is formatted at Times New Roman, Bold Style and Size 14.


Authors’ Name (s) and Affiliation

Please provide in a separate paper indicating author’s (authors’) name (s), postal addresses, telephone number and email addresses of each author and co-authors if applicable.



The abstract should describe clearly and briefly the purpose, research design and methods, the major results and main conclusion (maximum 200 words). References are not applied in the abstract. Font: Times New Roman, Style: Italic, Size: 12.



Please indicate the keywords after abstract with no more than 5 words. Each keyword is separated by ( , ) with font Times New Roman, Normal Style, and Size 10.


Structure of Article

The structure of article is as follows: Introduction, Literature Review, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References. Please format them with font Times New Roman (CAPITAL LETTERS), Bold Style and Size 12.


 Sub-divisions of Article

Subdivisions of article should be written in Times New Roman, Italic, and Size 11.

Referencing Style  

RJAM applied the APA Referencing Style (5th Edition) for both in-text citation alphabetical list citations at the end of the paper, as shown in the following examples: 

Journal article: Paxton, J. (2011).  Taylor Unsung Contribution: Making interchangeable parts practical. Journal of Business and Management, 17 (1), 75-84.


Book: Grover, R., & Vriens, M. (2006). The Handbook of Marketing Research: Uses, misuses, and future advances. Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage.

For the purpose of in-citation, please use primary sources, not secondary sources to show an original and academic sounds article.

Tables and Figures

We welcome the tables and figures. All tables and figures are numbered accurately (i.e. Table 1, Table 2 or Figure 2, Figure 2). Using bold for the titles of tables and figures. Font Times New Roman and Size 12.

Copyright Issues

For the purpose of preventing plagiarism, all articles submitted to Research Journal of Accounting and Management are scanned by plagiriasm software.  

Manuscript Writing

The manuscripts are typed single-space throughout, including references. It does not exceed 30 pages including references. Depending on the quality of the papers, 10% less or more is acceptable.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
